Lots of loving from Megan
Sam has been getting lots of kisses from Megan lately. He is doing so great with her. She will pat him on the leg or hold his hand and he just smiles. She will get his face and he is pretty good with it too until she gets too excited and gets a little rough, but even then he does pretty good with it.

Family pictures, smiling and laughing
Yesterday we had our family pictures taken for the first time. Sam did great. He had such a serious look on his face for several of the photos so we were trying to make him smile. A couple of days ago he had started smiling and laughing when granny talked to him in her high-pitched voice so we sent her in to talk to him. Sam started smiling like crazy and even did a little laugh. It was so adoreable, and thankfully the photographer caught him "in the act" for some good photos.

2 months old & checkup
Sam is 2 months old today. He had his doctor's appointment today and man has he grown. He is now 11 lbs 9.6 ounces and 23.5 inches long. He has gained almost 5 lbs and grown 3 inches since he was 2 weeks old.
He had a perfect checkup and even did very well getting his shots. He is very strong and the doctor said he is at about a 4 month level with his head control and beyond that with his rolling over abilities, especially since he can go both directions when rolling over. He is definitely making progress like he is in a hurry.
He is such a sweet little boy and we love him so much.

Catching up
It has been a few days since I blogged about things so I need to get caught up. Sam is smiling all the time now. He will smile at my voice, or at seeing his daddy or when you play with him.
My mom, his granny (one of them) is visiting us for 2 weeks and she is loving every minute with him. He likes to hang out with her and will follow her with his eyes when she walks around.
He is doing a great job playing on his tummy and keeping track of people as they walk by him. Megan's therapist said he was a very organized baby - meaning he is getting control of his arms/legs, etc.
I have lots of new photos that I will get posted soon.

Sam is now to the point where is he intentionally playing with toys. He was playing on his mat and reaching for and hitting the toys to make the move and make noise.

Rolling Over...again and again and again
So, rolling over was not an accident. Sam can do it over and over again. We put him on his tummy and he lifts his head way up and then using his leg to get him going he rolls over onto his back. He just did it 3 times in a row.
Rolling over
Early this morning, after the 4 am feeding, Will laid Sam on his tummy on the couch. We lay him down toward the back of the couch just to keep him safe. Our couch leans slightly toward the back. Will went into the kitchen to rinse out the bottle and when he got back Sam was on his back. He had rolled over "up hill" toward the front of the couch.
No more leaving him on the couch.
