About a week ago Sam climbed out of his crib and of course, fell on his head. Thankfully it happened after we were up so we knew immediately what happened and were able to get to him quickly. As soon as he hit the floor he got up and ran to the door and tried to open it. I have no idea if he would have been able to get it open because Will got to his door at the same time and flung it open to get to him. He hasn't done it since, nor even tried it. We have been sleeping with the stair gate closed, the playroom door closed and ours open just in case he manages to get out without us knowing.
He has been climbing into and out of his carseat for several weeks. He is always so proud of himself when he climbs into his seat and will tell himself "good job" once he sits down.
His last 2 year molar is fully in so he has a break from teething for a couple of years.
He loves Mickey Mouse, except he calls it "hot dog" from the song at the end of the show. I taught him it was Mickey Mouse, which is adorable when he says it, but every once in a while he still asks for "hot dog".
The other day we were sitting for a while at a stop light and there was a truck in front of us. I guess Sam got tired of waiting because eventually he said "come on truck". Still makes me giggle.
He was playing with his lizards, he got 5 for his birthday, in the floor beside me. When he was done with them I told him to put them back. He had a toy in his left hand, which he didn't put down, so he was trying to figure out how to carry all of the lizards in one hand. He started putting them under his armpit (very good problem solving) but when he would try to put a second there he would open his arm too much and the first one would fall. After trying this a few times he finally gave up and carried them one at a time.
