Winnie the Pooh, his bear, talking to Megan, colors and looking at animals

Sam has a new song that he is singing, actually there are a couple of songs I have heard him sing lately that I haven't heard before.  A couple of nights ago he was quietly singing Jesus Love Me while he was getting undressed.  Two days ago he started singing Winnie the Pooh to the tune of the actual song, his words are just a little different.  "Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, Winnie, Winnie, Winnie, Winnie the Pooh" repeat.
Sam has been taking his teddy bear to bed with him for a few weeks and a few nights ago he started putting it right beside his head and asking me to cover up the bear when I cover him up.  He is now asking me to say good night to the bear too.  I am sure giving the bear one last kiss, after I kiss him, will be his next request.  He snuggles with that bear and then when I leave the room he puts his feet in the air and balances the bear on them like I do with him when I lift him in the air.

Sam has started talking to the Megan the way I do.  When we pick her up from school he looks at her and says "sweetheart did you have a good day at school?" and says it in my tone of voice.  He is also saying things I say to her randomly during the day, always referring to her as sweetheart when he does it.  He loves his big sister so much and it is so sweet to watch him with her.  I pray for her on the way to school every day and part of the prayer is that she will learn something new and that she will have so much fun.  Sam adds to the prayer that she will learn her ABCs.  I think it is his way of asking for her to be able to talk since she can't sing her ABCs with him yet.

Sam learns most things super quick which has me spoiled.  I am used to being able to introduce something and he has it after a few "lessons".  Well, I have found his cryptonite.   The boy cannot figure out his colors.  He just isn't getting it at all.  I know he can tell the difference in them because he can sort colors without a problem, he just can't name them.  We have been working on this for weeks, months even and still nothing.  I am sure it will kick in one day but in the mean time, ugh!

We went to the zoo on Friday during Megan's spring break.  Sam loved it.  He was so excited to look at the animals.  He also got to ride the carousel and this time he loved being on a horse that went up and down.  And of course to end our fun we rode the train back to the front of the zoo and then had a picnic with daddy.  He has not stopped talking about it and keeps asking to go look at the animals again.
